Mrs Rooney showed off some very pink shoulders as she sensibly took some shade while on holiday in Barbados.

The 23-year-old looked in desperate need of some after-sun cream as she played with her baby son Kai and chatted to one of her brothers.

The WAG is on the Caribbean island with her mum Colette, dad Tony and her younger brothers Joe and Anthony, who joined her as she took 16-month-old Kai on his first-ever holiday.

She showed off her post-baby curves in a chic polka-dot bikini, as she, helped by her brother, liberally slapped on some sun lotion, after maybe catching sight of her red skin.

Husband Wayne was unable to join his family on the trip due to football commitments with his club Manchester United.

Normally one for fake tan, like most of her fellow WAGs, Coleen had clearly decided that a golden glow obtained from the sun itself would be a lot more natural.

But as with any fair-skinned English woman, she had maybe underestimated the ferocity of the Barbados sun.

She covered herself up to protect her skin from burning further, but not before she took a dip in the ocean to cool herself down.

The family are staying at the Rooney"s new 5million holiday home on the island.

The whitewashed villa, which is situated in the 500-acre Royal Westmoreland development, has six bedrooms, an infinity pool and adetached two-bedroom guest cottage.

And they have a number of famous sports stars as their neighbours, with ex-boxer JoeCalzaghe, Rooney"s Manchester United team-mate Rio Ferdinand, GaryLineker and cricketer Andrew Flintoff all owning homes in the area.
